First, we'd like to thank everyone for another great year! With all of the new places to go, in and around Powell, we truly appreciate you coming back to our little, hidden, urban winery.
Now, for 2024! It's time to change things up a bit. Starting with our hours.
We've decided to OPEN on Sundays because we're tired of there being nothing to do on a Sunday in Powell. Sure it's cold and grey outside, but the winter blues just get worse when you sit at home alone. We need to get out and socialize.. away from our phones. So we are now open Sundays, Noon-5pm...come out and see us!
We've also decided to CLOSE on Tuesdays and Wednesdays... but occasionally we might open if we have some fun promotion planned on one of those days. For example, Valentine's Day is on a Wednesday this year... we HAVE to be open on Valentine's Day.. that would be a crime for us to be closed on Valentine's Day. So keep an out out for updates. But closing on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays leaves these days wide open for Private or Special Events. Our tasting room is the perfect size for fun little events, like the "Behind the Music" event we just had last night. We have plans in the works to partner with other small businesses to bring you truly UNIQUE events, like our upcoming "Taylor Swift Galentine's" promotion - details coming next week. Stay tuned for future announcements.
You'll notice that we've streamlined our menu too. We took a look at the sales for the last few years and kept the most popular items and switched up a few things. What this does is, it opens up our menu to more weekly features and specials. We like trying new things, and we think you will too. Wait till you try the new baked brie with a honey drizzle, coming soon. We have a whole list of fun menu items planned to keep you coming back week after week!
Daily Specials. We've also switched up our specials a bit too. Our new Thursday Happy Hour special is $1 OFF any glass of wine! We've moved our Flight Night Special to Friday Night! So now it's called "Friday Night Flights"! Get any 4 half glasses of wine PLUS a Flatbread for $27. Now that's a great deal! Then we also moved our Bottle and Flatbread special to Sunday.. So it's now called "Sunday Funday" Get any bottle of wine plus a Flatbread for $30!
Lastly, and this ties into the "Event" topic... we're teaming up with other small businesses in Powell to bring you more reasons to visit, and hang out it in, downtown Powell. The surrounding cities have done a great job at re-inventing their downtown districts - Dublin, Westerville, Worthington, Hilliard, Delaware, Grove City...and it's done great things for their small businesses. We've had meetings with the city of Powell and it appears as though they have some big ideas on the horizon too, which we're super excited about ... but until then, we small businesses have joined forces to develop a "Coalition of Creativity". We are meeting regularly to create exciting events, promotions and partnerships to get people out and about in downtown Powell and to draw people in from the surrounding cities! More people coming to our town, means more fun businesses coming to our town and sustains and grows our current businesses. Stay tuned for details about our first event of the year, "Galentine's Day".
